Based on my background, experience and reputation, I am considered a leading national expert in the areas of professional sport, the law, criminology, and sociology. As a lawyer, I have represented many professional and college athletes in all sports as well professional coaches over the years in my practice. I also lecture to professional clubs about various legal issues and obstacles facing professional athletes in today's society. I give similar lectures to college teams on issues facing today's student athletes. I am perhaps the only lawyer in the country to have worked for a professional club, to have represented former players and coaches in a variety of legal contexts, and to lecture professional and college teams on many legal and social issues that are so common in the world of professional and college sports.

I was a full time employee of the Oakland Raiders football club for three seasons and worked within all levels of the organization. Through these contacts, experience, associations and friendships, I have continued to represent and counsel many former and current NFL players and coaches in a variety of civil and criminal cases as well as other situations that come up. Some of my clients include Raider Assistant Coach and Former NFL Player Darren Perry and Raider Legend, Hall of Famer and current NFL Coach Willie Brown.
